Our Profound Impacts
Our work in the community is driven by the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to succeed. Project LINK’s initiatives touch lives, provide support, and inspire positive change for families in Tampa Bay.
Increased Access to Essential Health Services
Over 1,200 students served in 2025
Each summer, Project LINK’s Back-2-School Health Clinics remove barriers to learning by providing free school physicals, immunizations, and health record updates to students across Hillsborough County. In 2025 alone, 1,208 children received essential care through 7 clinic sites, supported by 389 volunteers. Without these services, families often face out-of-pocket costs of $200–$375 per child or turn to costly emergency rooms for routine care. By stepping in, the clinics generated an estimated $200,000–$250,000 in taxpayer savings—while ensuring children entered school healthy, confident, and ready to succeed.
Beyond immediate care, the clinics strengthen the community: offering hands-on training for future healthcare professionals, translation services for families new to Florida, and vital support for uninsured and underinsured students.
Building Resilience and Enhancing Well-being
Impacting over 800 Students Annually
The eMerging Healthy Students (eHS) program has positively impacted over 1,000 middle school students in the Tampa Bay area by providing mental health education, mindfulness activities, and counseling. As a result, 70% of students reported lower stress levels, 25% fewer behavioral incidents were reported, and 30% more students accessed mental health services. Additionally, 85% of students showed increased emotional resilience, contributing to a healthier, more supportive school environment.

A Vision for the Future
Introducing our vision for the Children’s Health Equity Center – a state-of-the-art facility designed to address the most urgent health and wellness challenges faced by children and families. This innovative center will feature a research hub focused on childhood diabetes, the impact of COVID on adolescents, and mental health resiliency strategies for teens. In addition, we will integrate an urgent care facility to provide a wide range of services for non-life-threatening conditions and injuries, offering a convenient alternative to emergency rooms and primary care doctors for insured, Medicaid-enrolled, and uninsured children. With comprehensive healthcare, mental wellness services, and educational support, the center will empower the next generation to thrive physically, emotionally, and academically, fostering long-term health and resilience for all children in our community.
